Emmet Mullins who won the hunters chase at Down Royal yesterday with Its On The Line was back in the winners enclosure when winning the Earl Of Harrington Memorial Hunters at Limerick with Romeo Magico.
Dara McGill settled the gelding in behind the leaders and started to get closer after the second last.
The son of Affinisea appeared to handle the testing conditions and stayed on gamely to lead close home and deny Casey West by half a length.
The Emmet Mullins owned gelding was last seen when finishing runner-up to Imperial Fox at Inchydoney in May.
Hathaways Cottage the other market principle having made most of the running found the conditions very testing and pulled up two fences from home.
The winning handler reported afterwards: ‘He is a nice horse and works well at home. He is a brilliant jumper and we will now campaign for the spring festival at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown.’
