Eoin Mahon made his point-to-point debut aboard Paurick O'Connor's Skyalani at Loughrea in October 2013, and it was O'Connor, the brother of winning most points rider Derek, who provided him with his first eight rides. After getting off the mark courtesy of the Sam Curling-trained Abigail Lynch at Rathcannon in October 2016, Mahon enjoyed success aboard the join-champion point-to-point horse Longhouse Music during a successful 2018/19 season, but it was bettered in the 22/23 campaign when he enjoyed a personal best seven wins.
