Eoin Staples, brother of point-to-point rider Sean, made his own race-riding debut between the flags at Cork in April 2021 aboard the Richard O'Keeffe-trained Swallows Court. In April 2023 Eoin partnered the Paul Pierce-trained Getaway Theatre to record his first success at Rathcannon. Seven winners during the 2024/25 season saw Eoin share the spoils in the INHSC novice rider series, after which he made the switch to the professional ranks, with his first ride as a conditional coming at Tipperary in July 2025.
