Lalor stable following Ballingarry fall on Saturday

Liz Lalor is in a stable condition in hospital after she was airlifted to hospital following a fall at the Ormond Foxhounds fixture at Ballingarry on Saturday.

The record breaking Tipperary native was aboard her partner Tom Keating’s U Asking Me in the Fay Memorial & Liffey Mills geldings’ winner-of-one race, the final contest on Saturday's card, when the pair fell heavily at the final fence.

After being attended to by the onsite medical staff, Lalor was transported to Cork University Hospital by air ambulance where she currently remains.

IHRB Senior Medical Officer, Dr. Jennifer Pugh, issued the following update on Lalor’s condition on Monday afternoon.

"Following a fall on Saturday at the Ormond (F) Point to Point fixture in Ballingarry, Liz Lalor was transported to Cork University Hospital by Irish Community Rapid Response (ICRR) Air Ambulance."

"Liz is conscious and remains stable with chest injuries. I'd like to thank the IHRB Medical Team on duty and Tipperary Irish Red Cross who were at the Point to Point fixture as well as the ICRR Air Ambulance crew."

Earlier this season, Liz has become the winning-most female rider in the history of point-to-point racing here in Ireland when securing her 110th victory at Comea in February.
