There was somewhat of an upset in the Metcollect Oil Recycling Hunters Chase with the short priced favourite Its On The Line beaten on season debut by the David Christie trained Big Interest.
The Fermanagh handler seems to have a decent recruit on his hands with the son of Soldier Of Fortune running out a four and three parts of a length victory over the favourite.
Barry O’Neill who did the steering looked to have the measure of the race from before the second last. He stayed on gamely on the run-in to record a comprehensive victory.
The five-year-old Big Interest won his maiden at Castlelands early this year for handler Sean Doyle, he was subsequently picked up by his new owner Ray Nicholas at the Cheltenham Festival sale for £60,000.
