It has been a strong month on the racecourse for Tattersalls Cheltenham graduates with Festive and New Year success – the thrilling victory of the Tattersalls Cheltenham January Sale graduate Val Dancer (pictured) in the Grade 3 Welsh Grand National a real highlight at the end of December.
The success has continued into January with the Handstands' victory in the Grade 2 Towton Novices Chase at Ffos Las, the win backed up last weekend with two excellent graded race victories – Mr Vango's strong staying performance in Haydock's Grade 3 Peter Marsh Chase, alongside a Grade 2 success over hurdles at Windsor for the progressive Nicky Henderson-trained Jingko Blue.
Connections of the two weekend winners have Cheltenham and Aintree Festival targets in mind, with the Bradstock team dreaming of a Grand National outing for Mr Vango.
The David Pipe-trained five-year-old mare Kingston Queen, a Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival Sale purchase last year, won the Alan Swinbank Listed Mares' NH Flat race at Market Rasen last Friday.
Lots will be stabled in the Charles Turner yard and will be available for viewing on Friday 24th January from 1pm and on Saturday 25th January from 8.30am through to the end of the day's sale.
The catalogue is available online here – and printed copies can be collected from the sales office at the Charles Turner yard on Thursday.
Selling starts on Saturday at 4.45pm after the end of racing on Cheltenham Festival Trials Day.
