Sean O’Keeffe made a major breakthrough in the 2017/18 campaign, as in what was just his three season riding,he rode a total of 11 winners, including a number of the four-year-old division, to share the Champion Under-21 title with Shane Fitzgerald, whilst also recording a first track victory at Punchestown in October 2017 for Liz Doyle. It was his father Jim who provided him with his maiden success aboard Tinacurra at Grennan in May 2016. Following his title winning campaign, O'Keeffe joined the professional ranks in August 2018.
