After making his debut between the flags at Kirkistown in November 2009, John O'Neill, who is the son of well-known IHRB staff member Denise O'Neill, got off the mark aboard Johnies Star at Ballydarragh on November 2011 and has gone on to ride winners for the likes of Ellen Doyle, Mark Fahey and Shane Byrne. O'Neill, who has worked for Jessica Harrington, recorded his first double at Stradbally in May 2017, thanks to a brace of winners for James Fahey.
